We’re excited – there’s no better way of putting it. As we’re moving through 2026, we’ve been working on multiple projects across Film and Live performance. It’s been an incredible chance for us to put so much of what we’ve learned over the past few years into actual practise. It always feels so rare to actually be abke to manifest plans and meet so many other creatives in actual spaces, and so we’re feeling pretty fortunate.

One of our focuses is on a new live performance project which will be announcing more about at the start of 2027. The project is a piece of theatre that combines projection and Creative Captioning, as well as our hallmark approach of creating work based out of sound. As such, now we’re at it again and looking for theatre directors to join us for a short R&D in London! We’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for a Theatre Director to join us on 13th and 14th November for a two day R&D on a new piece of live performance ahead of 3-4 preview performances we’ve got coming up in 2027. We’d love a director to help us get the piece on it’s feet in a live space for the first time – in fact weirdly, directing has always been a bit of gap in our skillset.

Both Faizah and I are practitioners in spaces, but rarely actually direct – aside from in films. It’s just always been this blocker that, maybe in a positive way, we’re both very open about not having the right skills to do. It’s one of the reasons we’re really excited to connect to Directors, and having an actually tangible opportunity to offer in order to make that happen feels great I have to say.

The script itself is 20-25 minutes, and so is a short initial staging as well as a chance for you to work collaboratively with us to interrogate the text and develop it dramatically. There isn’t necessarily a commitment to future work on the show, however we would love to keep relationships open for future potential creative teams around a longer development period and/or performances.

Payment will be £350 for the two days, and an initial remote meeting to discuss the script itself. We’ll also be covering any reasonable travel expenses incurred. The meeting as such will be a chance for us to fully meet you and to start discussing some of the initial themes and directions we’ve got in mind for the script. Saying this, it’s important to clarify that we’re very open to these ideas being challenged. We want to understand your perspective, and would like to weave that in to the development of the piece.

We’re open to various forms of experience and backgrounds, and would particularly encourage applications from practitioners whose voices are not as commonly featured in arts and Theatre – including Disabled, Working Class, Black, Asian, South Asian and neurodivergent artists. We’re also open should you want to say hi, even if you’re unsure of whether this is right for you.
